New Design: Between Seasons.

While deciding on the project to knit during my winter break from college, I thought it would be fun to design something for those single skeins of yarn people usually have in their stash and do not know what to do with and are not big fans of stripes like myself and love a little lace.  This is how Between Seasons pattern came about.

Introductory sale for this pattern until the end of the Labor Day weekend (09/04/17, 11 pm PST). No code needed. Sale price is shown. After 09/04/17 the pattern will be available for $4.00.
Also, “Between Seasons” scarf pattern is FREE with a one-skein purchase of Spark Story merino singles fingering yarn through Spark Story Etsy shop. You will receive a code for downloading your free pattern on Ravelry:…
Between Seasons is an airy lace scarf with beautiful zigzag pattern. The scarf is knitted in two colors simultaneously and seamlessly from one edge to the other. The colors are changed in the middle with a simple trick. The same scarf can be worn in several different ways. If you fold it along the middle you can have a different color showing depending on which side is up. You can also wear it with both colors showing as a scarf or a wrap.
Multiple colors and beautiful lace create many possibilities on achieving different looks depending on how you wear your scarf. Thank you for choosing to knit Between Seasons and I hope you enjoy this project!

New Pattern: Bella Luna.

So happy to share with you today  my latest design, Bella Luna:
Introductory 25% off until the end of the day (PST) on 06.18.16.
Also, Bella Luna shawl pattern is free with a kit purchase from SparkStory Etsy shop. Kits will be offered at a slight discount.

Bella Luna is an elegant crescent shawl that features combination of the simple slipped stitch pattern in the body and the little lace zigzag border. The shawl is knitted top down and has crescent shape.
Few notes about this design:
  • the shawl is reversible
  • there are no purl sts in this design ; -)
  • the top edging is extra stretchy, so there is no pooling after blocking
  • the CO/set-up is done in such a way, so there is no visible hump that sometimes can be seen in the shawls of this shape
A little side note, you can also now follow me on Instagram. ;-)

June Gloom Kimono.

June Gloom ( as well as May Gray) is a weather pattern here in San Diego. Basically, the sun does not come out until late afternoon and it is gray and on the cooler side for the most part. Perfect weather for a little something like this kimono vest :-)
The diamond pattern is my own creation, but I am sure there are stitch patterns like this around. I love how the k2tog/ssk lines pop on the purl stitch background.
A little on the construction: top-down, seamless (except for the attaching the neck band and tiny seaming where the sleeves were BO), short row shaping of the shoulders, 2st I-cord for the edge of the fronts, I-cord BO for the sleeves and bottom band.
More on this project on Ravelry.
